Peter Grimley
Having begun his working life as an astronomer, Peter eventually decided to get a more down to earth job and enlisted as a civil servant; he is currently working in the Department for Environment Food and Rural Affairs. The journey from compact dwarf galaxies to the common agricultural policy has been an interesting and entertaining one, and it has equipped Peter with the range of skills that he brings to his role as a GAPS Trustee. His civil service career has seen him developing policy in a wide variety of fields, including BSE, international trade, and cloning, and he also spent some time as private secretary to a minister. Being married to Catherine Hinds – a GAPS graduate and fellow Trustee – has enabled Peter to develop an appreciation of the purpose of a Jungian training and of the ethos of GAPS in particular. This sits alongside an interest in Buddhist spirituality and the nature of the mind as revealed by technological developments in neuroscience. Peter’s other interests include music, language, dance and wondering how the universe works.
Patrick Jacquelin

Patrick was born in Kenya in 1952, where he spent his first 13 years. He then moved to Vienna, Austria and at the age of 19 came to the UK to study History at Cambridge University. After a year’s military service in France, he did an MBA at INSEAD in Fontainebleu, France.
Since then his career has been entirely in business. He spent his first 15 years as a management consultant, specialising in business strategy. Most of the last 25 years he has been a business entrepreneur. He set up The Daylight Company in 1990 which has become a small international business designing ergonomic lamps for partially sighted people, craftsmen and artists.
Patrick has brought business experience to GAPS and particularly an understanding of organizational structures and how to match these to meet strategic objectives.
Catherine Hinds

Catherine’s career began in the Foreign Office, but she decided that her true vocation lay in a different direction and she left to undertake a training as a dance and movement therapist. That was enough to confirm her new direction and the GAPS course then followed. Catherine graduated from GAPS in 2005 and, after a few years in private practice, she now also works as a psychotherapist for the NHS in the South London and Maudsley Trust, combining this with teaching and supervising GAPS students. As a former GAPS Coordinator, Catherine brings a deep understanding of GAPS, as well as her clinical expertise, to her role as a Trustee. For some years Catherine has followed a Russian Orthodox practice. Her interests include dance, pottery, music and her cat.
Suzanne Bergne
Suzanne studied Philosophy, English Literature and Media Studies at Munich and Vienna universities. She then married a British Diplomat, had 2 children, and lived and worked for 35 years in the Middle and Far East. For some of that time she trained as an artist craftsman potter and exhibited in Europe and Japan. She then trained and qualified with GAPS as a Jungian Psychotherapist. She is also an advanced candidate with the British Irish Sandplay Society. In the past she have served as a Trustee with the Substance Misuse Services, Gloucestershire. She is now a teaching member and supervisor at GAPS.
As a trustee of GAPS she feels that her international perspective, which is firmly based on a spiritual attitude to life, will prove helpful to the organisation as it continues to evolve.
