The full training in Analytical Psychology is open to individuals who meet the professional requirements of the Guild. Satisfactory completion of the training leads to candidates becoming fully certified Jungian Psychotherapists and includes membership of the UKCP and full membership of the Guild.
The programme is directed to the psychological development of individuals who are familiar with the concepts of C G Jung, and who have the capacity to use and develop them in accordance with their own understanding of analytical psychology.
An on-going analysis with a frequency of twice a week is a basic requirement for the duration of the training. Theoretical preparation and a working knowledge of empirical concepts of analytical psychology are essential.
The first part of the training involves seminars and discussions at which students are expected to prepare presentations. Assessment of the first part of the training is by continuous review, oral and written, to establish the depth of the student's knowledge and understanding. Progress is monitored in conjunction with a Review Committee and tutors. Clinical experience and supervision provide practical experience and the application of theoretical knowledge.
The Guild is committed to a policy of equality on the basis of creed, gender, race and national identity.
The next course will start in September 2012. Seminars are held in London on Wednesday evenings weekly during term time from 5.30pm to 7.00pm. There are also 3 or 4 Saturday workshops each year.
